The Wabash Marketplace Miniature Paintout”

August 7th & 8th

Come paint miniatures of the Wabash downtown and compete for an opportunity to exhibit your work in The Wabash Hoosier Salon’s September exhibit.

If you do not want to paint you have the opportunity to come help select the paintings for our September exhibit!

The Event
The Wabash Hoosier Salon Gallery is hosting a paintout in downtown Wabash.  All artists of all ages are invited to come to Wabash and paint miniatures of the downtown.   Artists may paint all day Saturday and until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. 

Sunday evening from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. the artists will display their work on the sidewalk in front of the Hoosier Salon Gallery and the Charley Creek Inn.  The public is invited to come and vote for their favorite pieces.  The paintings receiving the most votes will be awarded a September exhibit in the Hoosier Salon Gallery. 

Schedule
Saturday—August 7th
9 a.m.-9 p.m. Registration (same day registration is at the gallery)
Paint as long as you want
Sunday— August 8th
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Registration
Paint until 4:30 p.m. 
5 p.m.-7 p.m. Sidewalk Display and peoples choice voting

Guidelines

  • Paintings may be no bigger than 8”x10”
  • Paintings must be of the downtown area bordered by Cass St. and Wabash St. & Hill St. and Canal St. (A map will provided at Registration)
  • 25 pieces will be selected for their own exhibit running from September 1st-October 20th.
  • These pieces will be selected by a public peoples choice vote
  • If Pre Registered the cost is $15 for adults and $5 for students or children
  • Same day registration is $20 for adults and still $5 for students and children
  • Refreshments will be provided in the Wabash Gallery during the event.
